The skill of summarising is promoted through: visualisation; identification of key words; and, descriptions of problem/solution and cause/effect situations. Some other skills that are included in this workbook are: inferring; predicting; following instructions to complete manual tasks; sequencing; interpreting data; using timelines; cross-referencing; observing; drawing; comparing. The articles included in this workbook are intended to broaden the knowledge and life perceptions of the reader. The style and difficulty of questions to test comprehension is increased.
